Pre-departure programme

Prior to your departure, we run a programme of events for you to help you with your preparation for going abroad. Completing the programme is a requirement and carries a 'Pass/Fail' mark.

The Preparation Programme takes place during the spring term and is designed to provide you with the information you will need in order to make practical preparations for your period of study abroad. All students who are preparing to undertake a 2021/22 Study Abroad placement are enrolled onto our Moodle Course in March 2021, which includes a full schedule of preparation events.

Successful completion of the Study Abroad Preparation Programme is a prerequisite for progression to your year or term abroad. Students who do not fulfil all the requirements of the Preparation Programme by the deadline may be disqualified from studying abroad.
